Subjects Taught
7th Grade ELA

I graduated from the University of Tennesse with a Bachelor of Science in English and speech education and additional hours in theatre arts.  I also have a degree in elementary education from Rhodes College.

I began my teaching career at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, where I taught junior English and speech for two years. In 1997, I began teaching sixth grade English here at Fayetteville Middle and continued in that capacity for fourteen years. For the past four years, I have taught seventh grade reading.  In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have directed numerous plays.

Growing up here in Fayetteville was a wonderful experience.  Although I moved away for twenty years, I am happy to have returned to raise my family and continue my career in education. My husband and I have three children and four grandchildren who provide us with great joy.
