History
History of Fayetteville Middle School
Opened in the 1997 school year, Fayetteville Middle School began as Fayetteville Intermediate School. It housed grades 5th and 6th, and shared a cafeteria, gymnasium, and library with Fayetteville Junior High School. The first addition was added at the beginning of the 2000 school year, which gave the school its own library, gymnasium, nurse's office, guidance office, and 8 new classrooms. In addition to the 5th and 6th grades, 4th grade was added to the building. In 2013, 7 new classrooms, a new office area, and a new cafeteria were built. The school was named Fayetteville Middle School. The school currently serves students in grades 6-8.
